Here’s a 328i GC GT OOPS I came across today. I was reminded that I’ve been seeing more of these and less wagons in the Seattle area. The 5-series touring was killed here years ago.
I think that, in spite of the relatively successful Golf Alltrack, new TourX, and sexy Volvo wagons, BMW is on a path to remove their wagon from this market.
What say you good folks?

Dude, please. Don’t give them any ideas. It’s on my list and I need someone to buy it new 3 years before I buy one 5 years from now so I can pick it up as a CPO with low miles.

You don’t just cancel a wagon. You lift it an inch and cover it in plastic

I think that’s a 328i G T . GC are even numbers because “coupe’.

It will still exist, but it will have some slope-y rear section making the cargo area all but unbearable for doggo s and they’ll call it the gran estate coupe roadster, a wagon version of a two door version of a four door car of a wagon version of a two door version of a four door car.

You’re right. Even from the front that huge ass sticks out.

I would like one but I don’t want x drive so it’s already out for me.

I thought it was already confirmed dead (in the US, of course) for the next gen :-/

This post made me want to go and build one, and build one I did.
Only $55.2 K exactly as I want it, no biggie. LOL I can’t afford to lease one even with a $5 000 down payment .

To be honest though you can get some leftover models in low 40K s, which will have a much better lease payment but good luck finding M- sport versions. This is the cheapest new one in the country right now, $39.9K

On the 3 it’s not that bad... weird, quirky designs work better on smaller cars. It’s the 5GT that’s fugly, but at least the trunk was trick.

A while back, my wife got a 3GT loaner and really liked it. Huge back seat, plenty roomy hatch, etc.
Still ugly though- just wish it was executed better.

The main competition to that for me would just be a 340i sedan. Those two cylinders really make it from an enthusiast perspective.
